About the lecturer: Jay Levin has been working as a psychotherapist and teacher for over 35 years. His interest is how values shape personal behavior. Jay Levin studied Gestalt psychotherapy with Erv and Miriam Polser and is certified in Los Angeles Gestalt Therapy Institute. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, an accredited member of the European Association of Gestalt Therapy (EAGT) and director of the Gulf Coast Gestalt Institute. Workshop topic – Transference and Countertransference
These perennial concepts have persisted in different restatements throughout the history of modern psychotherapy. This is general agreement among psychotherapies that thesephenomena exist but some significant interpretations and explanations of their origin and manifestation the therapeutic relationship and other relationships. We will consider a few of these versions and then look at a Gestalt perspective of understanding and how working with these concepts from a Gestalt perspective has specific implications for therapy.
Workshop will be in English, without translation.
